Keynotes and workshops on making AI useful at work

Scott O'Brien, founder of Veris AI. I build AI systems for growing businesses, and I speak about the skill that decides whether AI is genuinely useful to your audience or merely disappointing: giving it context. Most recently on stage at SARECON 2026, in front of roughly 300 real estate agents and investors.

The talk

Context Management: The Skill That Makes AI Useful. Built for rooms of operators who have tried AI, got something generic back, and quietly concluded it was overhyped.

The argument

AI gives generic answers because it knows nothing about your market, your clients, or your deals. That is not a prompting problem, it is a context problem. And the fastest way to load context is not to type more — it is to let the AI interview you.

What it hands them

One prompt, put on screen at headline scale so the room can photograph it, and a six-step loop simple enough to run the same afternoon: get interviewed, answer one question at a time, let it summarize you back, correct what it got wrong, save the profile, reuse it everywhere.

…learning how to flip the switch of having AI interview you.

From the stage

Two excerpts from SARECON 2026, recorded from the floor, about fifty seconds in total. Captions included. The clips are cut from a longer talk and the first one is trimmed to end on a complete sentence; nothing inside either clip is edited.

Reading the prompt out loud

The one artifact the talk is built around. He reads it verbatim, then explains why each clause is there — the role, the one-question-at-a-time rule, the finish line, and "don't give me advice yet."

The correction step, which is where it actually works

Answer, let it summarize you back, correct what it got wrong, then save the profile so every future session starts from something true instead of from nothing.

Formats

The material is modular. Cut it to the slot you actually have and it still lands.

Keynote · 35–40 min

The full arc, slides only, no live demo. Built and delivered at this length for a 300-person room.

  • Opens with how AI nearly cost me a client relationship
  • The shift from prompting to being interviewed
  • What it unlocks, walked lane by lane for the room in front of me
  • Where the context lives so it survives past one chat

Short talk · 10–25 min

The same spine, compressed. The prompt and the six-step loop survive every cut, because they are the part people use.

  • Fits a breakout, a chapter meeting, or a conference side stage
  • No setup beyond a screen

Hands-on workshop

The room runs the interview prompt on their own business while I work the floor. It is built so people finish with a saved context profile rather than notes about one.

  • Everyone needs a laptop or phone and any AI tool they already have
  • Pairs naturally after the keynote, which is how SARECON ran it

Who it's built for

Rooms of operators rather than rooms of engineers. Real estate is the audience I have the most reps with.

  • Residential and commercial agents
  • Residential and commercial investors
  • Brokerages, associations, and business groups

Where I've spoken

  • SARECON 2026

Subtle Asian Real Estate · "Rise. Rebuild. Repeat."

Session on context management, ~300 attendees: residential and commercial agents and investors. 35–40 minutes, followed by a hands-on workshop.

  • Ticket 500

    Real estate & AI

Spoke and taught practical AI for real estate professionals.

Short bio

Scott O'Brien is the founder of Veris AI in Newport Beach, California, where he builds AI automation, CRM, and revenue-tracking systems for growing service businesses. He speaks on context management: the practical skill that decides whether AI is useful in a working business or just another subscription. He talks about it because he ships it.

What I need in the room

  • A screen and a way to get slides onto it
  • A handheld or lav mic
  • No internet dependency — the talk runs without a live demo

Need a headshot, a longer bio, or a session description for your programme? Ask and I'll send them over.

Tell me about your event

Date, room, who's in it, and how long you want. If I'm not the right speaker for that audience I'll tell you, and where I can I'll point you at someone who is.

  • I answer my own inbox
  • Happy to do a short call with your organising team first
  • I'll shape the talk around your room rather than deliver a stock deck
